• Zehlendorf – Home to many of the city’s museums, historical buildings and premier universities. Zehlendorf is also a remarkably green place that is bound to leave you feeling refreshed after a morning walk
• Mitte – A part of Berlin that unfortunately fell to communism during the Cold War and where most of Berlin’s cultural and historical attractions are to be found.
• Kreuzberg – Another important – if less affluent – borough, which is also home to some of the city’s great museums. Kreuzberg also makes a great place to eat and shop, especially if you are low on funds, as the prices here tend to be more reasonable than in the rest of the Berlin.
• Schoneberg District – Berlin is well know for its liberal lifestyles, and the place to witness Berlin’s liberality in full swing is in its Schoneberg district, which has long been a magnet for those on the run from conservative society.
• Postdamer Platz – Previously a wasteland in the no-man’s land between Eastern Berlin and Western Berlin, which has since been rehabilitated. It is a great place to find entertainment, due to its mall and movie theaters.
• Kudamm and Prenzlauer Berg – Other Berlin districts of interest to tourists, who are out to shop and have a good time in Berlin.

Because of the relative complexity of Berlin’s geography, it would be essential for any tourist to purchase a good visitor’s map.
